A gut reaction
Drink Mix is a pH-sensitive liquid when mixed with 500 ml of water. When it meets the acidic environment of the stomach, an instant reaction occurs that converts the liquid into a hydrogel. The hydrogel encapsulates the carbohydrates, enabling the transportation of fuel through the stomach. Once in the intestines, the hydrogel dissolves and the carbohydrates are released and absorbed.
